| Steps | Watch slide show (5 minutes) First grade wind paintingsWatch teacher demonstration of resist using crayons and water based markers that are then brushed with water to “make” a paint layer (5 minutes)Students work with crayons first ( 20 minutes)Students receive markers, then water with a brush to create the resist technique ( 10 minutes)Cleanup ( 5 minutes) |
