Welcome to the art room! I am an award-winning visual arts educator with over 21 years of experience teaching across grade levels, and I teach K–2 Visual Art at Meadow Brook School while serving as K–5 Fine Arts Department Head. I feel incredibly fortunate to spend my days helping young artists discover their creativity and confidence.
Art matters because it teaches children how to think — not just how to make. In our classroom, students learn to observe closely, solve problems creatively, take thoughtful risks, and express their ideas in meaningful ways. These skills extend far beyond the art room and support growth in all areas of learning.
On a personal note, I am deeply inspired by the power of imagination, community, and lifelong learning. I believe every child is an artist, and my goal is to create a studio environment where all students feel safe, challenged, and proud of their work.
