In K–2 Visual Art, students build foundational studio skills while discovering the joy of creative expression. Through developmentally appropriate, inquiry-based lessons, children explore drawing, painting, collage, sculpture, and fiber arts while learning about artists and cultures from around the world. Students are encouraged to make thoughtful choices, experiment, and take creative risks in a supportive studio environment. Along the way, they develop fine motor skills, problem-solving abilities, confidence, and pride in their work as young artists. Click below to see my lesson plans or the MA State Standards K-2.
